A farmer and the child of Henry Peters and Rowena Atkinson, Richmond Peters, the second cousin three-times-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Richibucto, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada on 9 May 18561,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and was married to Caroline Warman (with whom he had 7 children: Rowena Dorcas Roma, Grace Idaline, Henry Albert, Rev Ovid Hutton, Pte Howard Watson, Ewart A and Eunice Louisa) in Richibucto on 2 May 1882.

During his life, he was living at his ville natal in 18611, in 18719 and in 18813; in Weldford, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada on 28 May 18914; and in St Marys, York, New Brunswick in 19015.

He died on 3 May 1906 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada8 and is buried at Bradley-Gill Memorial Cemetery, St Marys, York, New Brunswick8.
