A labourer gas stoker, Gilbert Danton, the husband of Sarah Maria Tutt the great-great-aunt of Nigel Horne, was born in Ramsgate, Kent, England c. Nov 18511,2,3,4,5, was baptised in Westbere, Kent, England on 8 Feb 1852 and married Sarah (with whom he had 6 children: Gilbert Edmund, Henry Johnson, Elizabeth Jane, Eleanor, James Edmund and Matthew Constable) at St Lawrence, Thanet, Kent, England on 11 Sep 18757.
During his life, he was living at St Lawrence in 1881[1]; in Camberwell, London, England in 1891[2]; at Ledbury Street, Peckham, London on 5 Apr 1891[10]; in West Ham, Essex, England in 1901[3]; at Abbey Lane, Stratford, London on 31 Mar 1901[9] and at 83 Abbey Lane, Stratford, London on 2 Apr 1911[8].

He died c. May 1925 in West Ham, London6.
