A general servant domestic and the child of Thomas Stupple (a bricklayers labourer) and Ann Gammon a charwoman), Emma Stupple, the first cousin three-times-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Herne Bay, Kent, England on 29 Aug 18751,2,3 and and married Joseph Dane (a master mariner with whom she had 8 children: Francis, Louisa Alice Maud, May Flower, Lily Josephine, Albert, Violet Elizabeth, Rose Victoria and Daisy Lillian) at St Mary Of Charity, Faversham, Kent, England on 1 Jan 18965.

During her life, she was living at Nursery Gardens, Herne, Kent on 3 Apr 1881, less than a mile from her cousin on her father's side Walter Mount who was living at Eddington, Herne Bay, Kent, England[1]; at King Street, Herne Bay on 5 Apr 1891[8]; at 3 Danes Cottage, Faversham on 31 Mar 1901[7]; at Quay Lane, Faversham on 2 Apr 1911[6]; and at 24 South Road, Faversham on 29 Sep 1939[2].

She died c. May 1963 in Sittingbourne, Kent4.
