The child of Zechariah Lawrence (a labourer) and Ann Cooper, Thomas Laurence, the third times great-uncle of Nigel Horne, was born in Ash, Kent, England c. 18081,2,3,4,5 and baptised there on 25 Sep 1808.

He was married to Rebecca.
During his life, he was living at his birthplace in 1841[1], in 1851[2], in 1861[3] and in 1871[4].

He died on 30 Apr 1878 in Ash5,6 and was buried there on 3 May 18786.
