A constable in the metropolitan police and the child of William Warner (a labourer builders) and Sarah Chapman, Walter Warner, the first cousin three-times-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born at St Peters, Thanet, Kent, England on 16 May 18721,2, was baptised there on 7 Jul 1872 was married twice, to Ellen Dudley (c. Aug 1895 in Thanet, Kent, England) and Beatrice4. He had 1 child with Ellen Dudley, Ellen.

During his life, he was living at Burtons Cottages, St Peters, Thanet on 3 Apr 18816; at Magdala Road, St Peters, Thanet on 5 Apr 18917; at 26 Rawlings Street, Chelsea, London, England on 2 Apr 19118; and at 2 Hanover Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent on 29 Sep 19391.

He died c. Feb 1955 in Tonbridge, Kent3 and was buried in Kent on 5 Feb 19555.
