Biography

A colliery cabin man and the child of Albert Cowell (an agricultural labourer) and Ellen Young, Albert Cowell, the second cousin twice-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Dambridge, Kent, England c. May 18941.

During his life, he was living at Adisham Street, Adisham, Kent, England on 31 Mar 19013 and at Church Street, Nonington, Kent on 2 Apr 19114.

He died on 19 Mar 1916 at Bethune Hospital, Bethune, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France2 (died of wounds) and was buried at Bethune Town Cemetery, Bethune on 20 Mar 1916. He served in the military from 26 Aug 1914 to 19 Mar 1916 (army - 6th (East Kent) Buffs).
