A pauper char woman and the child of Thomas Brooker and Sarah Crow, Johanna Brooker, the 3 times great-grandmother of Nigel Horne, was born at Minster, Thanet, Kent, England on 13 Dec 18111,2,3,4,5,6, was baptised there at St Mary the Virgin Church on 5 Jan 1812 and was married twice, to Daniel Edwards (on 18 Sep 1829 at Minster) and Thomas Foreman (on 22 Jun 1856 at St Lawrence, Thanet, Kent, England, following the death of Daniel Edwards in Jul/aug/sep 1847)8. She had 2 children, both with Daniel Edwards: Johanna Brooker and Stephen.
During her life, she was living at St Lawrence in 18411 and in 18512; at Chapel Row, St Lawrence, Thanet on 30 Mar 185111; and at St Lawrence in 18613, in 18714 and in 18815.
She died on 4 Apr 1885 at 3 Claremont Gardens, St Lawrence, Thanet6,7 (heart failure and bronchitis. Death certificate says aged 64, but I believe that is a mistake, it should read 74.) and was buried at St Lawrence on 8 Apr 18857,9,10.
