Mr. Bixler was employed at Coppock's Lumber Yard before retiring 25 years ago. He and Mrs. Bixler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 8, 1950. Surviving is the widow, Catherine; a son, Robert H., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Walter Gerke, both of Waynedale; two great-grandsons, and a brother, Isaac, Spencer. The body was taken to the C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the body will be taken to the Wesleyan Methodist Church. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until services at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Richard Howell will officiate andburial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
