The 6th of 7 children of Richmond Peters (a farmer) and Caroline Warman, Ewart Peters, the third cousin twice-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born in New Brunswick, Canada on 4 Apr 18951,2.
During his life, he was living at his birthplace in 1901[3] and in York, New Brunswick in 1911[1].

He died on 24 Jun 1914 in York, New Brunswick2 (died by drowning) and is buried at Bradley-Gill Memorial Cemetery, St Marys, York, New Brunswick2.
