A minister of the methodist church and the 4th of 7 children of Richmond Peters (a farmer) and Caroline Warman, Ovid Peters, the third cousin twice-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born at Smiths Corner, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada on Jul 12, 18901,2,3, was baptized in Kent, New Brunswick, Canada on 1899-1942 and married Pearl Boyd (with whom he had 3 children: Ralph Noble, Phyllis Barbara and Eric Jarvis) at Gagetown, Queens, New Brunswick, Canada on Aug 11, 1915.

During his life, he was living at Weldford, New Brunswick in 18911; in Kings and Albert, New Brunswick in 19112; and at Brackley Point Road, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada on Jun 1, 19213.

He died on Jul 1, 1934 in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, Canada.
