The child of Henry Peters and Rowena Atkinson, Henry Peters, the second cousin three-times-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born in New Brunswick, Canada on May 3, 18391,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and was married to Elizabeth Cook (with whom he had 4 children: Selina, James Bedford, Capt. Albert Goodrich and Harrison Fletcher).

During his life, he was living at Richibucto, Kent, New Brunswick in 18611 and in 1871 with his mother, Rowena Noble Charlotte2; in Kent, New Brunswick in 1881 with his brother, William Fletcher with his brother, Frederick Smallwood with his sister, Jane Marion with his sister, Rowena Caroline3; and in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada in 1891 with his brother, William Fletcher4.

He died on Mar 6, 1920 in New Westminster6,8,10 and is buried at Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster, Greater Vancouver, British Columbia8.
